Global Outreach

In its 15 years the Centre Européen de Coopération Juridique (CECJ) has brought together thousands of professionals from different countries to broaden the scope of activities beyond national legislation and doing business in only one country.

We aim to provide every interested person with the widest possible perspective on the country of choice in order to share practical guidance through different formats of communication, interaction and publication of information about your professional services among potential clients and partners at international level.

Argentina since 2014

Our first seminar in Buenos Aires started CECJ’s long-term cooperation with Argentina. This country is extremely attractive in terms of international trade. We have managed to build a solid foundation for long-term programmes involving practicing lawyers who are ready, able and willing to share their insights with legal professionals and entrepreneurs from other jurisdictions.

China since 2015

Our close collaboration with China began with our international commercial arbitration event in Hong Kong. This was followed by international trade workshops in Beijing and Shanghai. We meticulously prepare for our projects in China, with great attention to the local culture, mentality, expert selection, professional legal translation and relevant materials to meet individual goals and objectives.

Cyprus since 2020

Cyprus is an appealing European jurisdiction offering a palette of tax-related benefits to expatriates. The small island state has been chosen as one of the priority locations for upcoming events. Our established contacts with Cyprus lawyers ensure reliable information on Cyprus law and business.

Estonia since 2015

The Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) are of interest to many specialists. It is a great opportunity to extend the professional network and to explore business prospects in these markets.

France since 2007

As a French company, we primarily focus on this jurisdiction and implement two types of projects. Firstly, we promote the services of French specialists among our international colleagues. Secondly, we help French entrepreneurs and lawyers to establish professional contacts and obtain information about other markets.

Germany since 2015

Collaborating with Germany is a priority for our company. Many clients are interested in this jurisdiction, and German lawyers are keen to support international projects and access to global markets. Our programmes in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt are delivered to suit the needs of individual participants leading to better results and expanded list of business contacts.

Greece since 2016

Greek lawyers have been taking part in the CECJ’s events for over 7 years, sharing information on investment opportunities and benefits alike in Greece and providing advice on how to protect investor’s interests in Greece. We have conducted many successful seminars in the jurisdiction.

Israel since 2020

Our first event was held successfully in February 2020 creating a solid basis for future projects. There is a high demand for international workshops among the majority of returnees from all over the world, as well as entrepreneurs who have business links with Israel. Moreover, new opportunities and innovative solutions increase through networking events.

Italy since 2010

We have over a decade of successful experience in delivering various events across Italy (e.g., Rome and Milan, Venice and Bari, Florence and San Remo, Bologna and Verona). The uniqueness of format, content and atmosphere has enabled us to create a wider network of professional contacts as well as gain the trust of Italian professionals involved in CECJ programmes. Apart from discovering new countries and international opportunities, lawyers can also improve their human rights competence under the Strasbourg Programme “Successful Application to the ECtHR: From Theory to Practice”. Furthermore, the visit of an Italian delegation to St. Petersburg followed by the human rights publication (in Italian) received high praise from both Italy’s Constitutional Court and Supreme Court of Cassation.

Japan since 2014

Japan attracts many people from all over the world because of its distinct culture, amazing traditions and above all one of the most developed legal environments. It was a real and rewarding challenge for us to organize our first events. However, we’ve succeeded in creating a solid foundation for the CECJ’s future international projects in Japan. We can establish contacts with local partners, coordinate visits through diplomatic channels, and produce a high-quality content work for the benefit of our clients. Tokyo is expected to host one of our upcoming events.

Latvia since 2015

The Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) are of interest to many specialists. It is a great opportunity to extend the professional network and to explore business prospects in these markets.

Liechtenstein since 2020

Liechtenstein is an attractive location for asset investments with one of the most competitive legal frameworks, as well as a high degree of security, stability and reliability. Our first seminars were delivered online in 2022. Local experts highlighted international tax planning so that our clients could quickly identify all the practical advantages of this jurisdiction in comparison with others.

The Baltic States (Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia) are of interest to many specialists. It is a great opportunity to extend the professional network and to explore business prospects in these markets.

It also helps lawyers learn about other markets, the expectations of international clients and potential business projects in the Mexican market.

Monaco since 2014

The Principality of Monaco has attracted lawyers and expatriates from around the world. It is one of the safest countries, with practically zero tax for residents. We started to work operate with this jurisdiction more than 10 years ago, within the framework of the legal cooperation programme for the three countries in the region : of Italy, France and Monaco. The participating lawyers experienced firsthand the beauty of the Côte d’Azur while receiving lots of useful information about laws and regulations, taxes and business planning in Monaco, France and Italy.

Netherlands since 2013

The Hague was the first city to host CECJ seminars covering two thematic areas. The national law programme presents the Netherlands through the prism of business law and business contacts. The international law courses are centred on international organisations based in the Hague.

Portugal since 2016

Portugal is one of the jurisdictions included in CECJ’s international sports law programme. Apart from high-level speakers and leading international experts, representatives of the Sporting CP have taken part in our events. We include our next seminars in Portugal as part of our planned international law programme.

Spain since 2013

Spain is a very popular destination for our legal workshops which traditionally take place at the Bar Association of Barcelona. Our practice-oriented sessions provide insights and guidance (e.g., documents for transactions, tax payments and deductions, advice on assets) not only to the legal profession but also to the individuals interested in buying and selling real estate in Spain.

Sweden since 2015

Our Stockholm programme on international commercial arbitration ran in parallel with a similar programme in Hong Kong. The CECJ thematic seminar was organised in partnership with The Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber and provided an introduction to one of the leading forums for resolving international disputes, namely the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce.

Switzerland since 2010

Switzerland hosts many international organisations and applies several legal regimes. The CECJ organises events on a wide array of legal and business topics in this jurisdiction. Despite complexities, our projects have demonstrated high standards in covering both international law and domestic legal practice.

Turkey since 2019

Turkey is one of our priority destinations, for three reasons. Firstly, this international market maintains close ties with both the EU and CIS countries; hence, lots of opportunities to discuss trade-related topics and markets. Secondly, Turkey has long retained the record for the highest number of individual complaints before the ECtHR. And CECJ’s Strasbourg Programme “Successful Application to the ECtHR: From Theory to Practice” is very popular among Turkish lawyers. Thirdly, the very location of Turkey itself, the beauty of Istanbul and the support from the Istanbul Bar Association make this country an extremely attractive venue for our international legal events.

UAE since 2020

International workshops in Dubai are one of CECJ’s most vibrant and important activities. Participants immerse themselves in the new reality combining Western business approaches with Arab hospitality. We organize visits to the International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and the Dubai Shariah Personal Status Court to gain first-hand information on property regulation and a guaranteed 10% rental return, as well as international tax planning for large businesses and zero income tax rates for individual entrepreneurs.
