Public International Law since 2013
Our Public International Law Programme provides a platform for dialogue between representatives of international organisations and practising lawyers from different countries seeking to protect the rights and interests of their clients around the world. These thematic events were successfully launched in the Hague. The International Criminal Court (ICC) provided our participants with a rare opportunity to visit the court hearing of an African dictator’s case.
International Sports Law since 2016
International sports law and anti-doping regulations are increasingly trending topics among representatives of national sports federations, lawyers and experts. The CECJ has launched a series of seminars involving WADA experts, representatives of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS), as well as representatives of FIFA, UEFA, FIFA and other international sports federations based in Switzerland.
INTERPOL and Extradition since 2020
The CECJ offers INTERPOL and Extradition as one of its most insightful programmes. There are three components where lectures from international experts (touching upon criminal law) are followed by case studies with an explanation of the applicable provisions of international treaties. The third component addresses practical aspects of international legal mechanisms against unfounded charges and detentions.
